FUN ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN

Own a Pony day

Super popular with children from 5 to 12 these days provide the ideal opportunity to “experience” the practical side of owning your own pony – catching, feeding, bedding, grooming, washing and tacking up all under direct instruction together with lessons and gymkhana games.

“A great day had by all”.

Tack and Turnout day (10am - 1 pm)

Children will have a pony chosen for them which will suit their size and ability. Each child will have time with their pony to groom, wash and plait it before they ride, the ponies will be spick and span and even their hooves will be gleaming! This is a great chance for any child hoping to go to a show at some point in their riding life. A certificate will be given to each rider at the end of the day and there will be 1st to 6th place rosettes given so it really is like being at a show! Children will receive two instructional lessons throughout the course of the day.

Cantering Morning (10am - 1 pm)

It will help children who find canter a little difficult, and will also give children a chance to lunge a pony which most of you wouldn’t have done before.

Pony Picnic (10am - 2 pm)

This is great for younger children who love spending time with their much loved ponies, the day will include two lessons with some outdoor riding and finish the day with some of our favourite ponies joining us for lunch in the sunshine!

All riders need to have a lesson to assess them.
